Add and edit a top level domain
Most of the time you do not need this page. Adding a domain with a new ending creates the entry for you, marked Auto-created.
Add one by hand when you want it in place before the first domain uses it, or edit one to correct how an existing entry is recorded.
What an entry holds
Name. The ending, written without a leading dot: com, not .com.
Both forms are accepted, which is worth knowing because a portfolio can end up with news and .news as separate entries that sort apart and read as different endings. Matching the automatic form, no dot, keeps the list consistent.
TLD type. generic for endings like .com, .blog and .store; country-code for two-letter national endings like .me, .tv and .ws.
Editing an existing entry
Correcting a name or type updates the entry every domain with that ending points at. Use it to fix an inconsistently recorded entry rather than adding a second, correct one alongside it.
What this does not do
Adding an ending here does not make it available to register, and does not check whether it exists. Registration happens at a registrar; this list only describes the endings your own portfolio uses.
