Duplicate handling
A duplicate is a domain in your import file that is already in your portfolio. Two options on the upload screen decide what happens, and Flexi Domains asks rather than choosing for you.
The options
Skip duplicate domain names. Domains already in your portfolio are left exactly as they are. Everything else in the file is added.
Update existing domain names. Domains already in your portfolio have their details replaced with what the file says.
Which to choose
Skip when the file is a source of new domains and your existing entries are already correct. This is the safe default: nothing you have curated gets overwritten.
Update when the file is the better record. If you exported a current list from a registrar and your entries here are stale, updating brings them into line in one pass.
If you choose neither
Neither option is required. With both unticked, the import handles duplicates by its default rule and reports what it did in the summary. If you have a specific outcome in mind, tick the option that says it rather than relying on the default.
Check the summary
However you choose, the results are listed at the end: added, updated, skipped. That summary is how you confirm the run did what you intended, especially the first time you import into an account that already has domains in it.
