Add a domain name
Adds one domain to your portfolio. Use Import domains from a file if you have many.
What you need
The domain name, in full, as example.com. No www, no https://.
A registrar, chosen from the ones you have already recorded. If the one you want is not in the list, add it on the Registrars page first.
You can also record the expiration date and when you acquired the domain. Both are optional, and both are for your own reference: Flexi Domains stores what you tell it and does not check either against the registrar.
What adding does not do
Adding a domain records that you own it. It does not:
Buy or transfer the domain. Do that at your registrar.
Create a zone for it. Zones are managed by administrators on your account.
Change anything at your registrar.
To make a domain resolve, you need a zone for it and the registrar pointing at that zone's nameservers. See From a new account to a working certificate.
The TLD is recorded for you
The ending is read from the name and matched against top level domains. If it is one you have not used before, an entry is created automatically. You do not need to add it first.
