Domain names
Your portfolio: every domain you own, whoever you bought it from.
The point of keeping them here is that domains bought from different registrars over several years are otherwise scattered across several accounts with several logins. This is the one list.
The columns
Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
Name | The domain |
Registrar | Where it was bought. See Registrars |
Category | How the entry was created, for example |
TLD | The ending, linking to Top level domains |
Created | When it was added here, not when you bought it |
Sort by any column, and search by name. Created is when the record was added to Flexi Domains, so a domain you have owned for a decade shows the date you first added it here.
A domain, a zone and a registrar
Three different things, easy to conflate:
The registrar is who you bought the domain from and who you renew it with.
The domain is the entry in this list.
The zone holds the DNS records that make the domain do something. Zones are managed by administrators on your account.
Adding a domain here records that you own it. It does not create a zone, and it does not change anything at your registrar.
Adding domains
One at a time with Add domain name, or many at once with Upload, which opens Import domains from a file.
